AFAIK AirNav Pro uses the barmometricdevice in an iPad along with QNH as a quite precise altimeter.
Can SD do the same ?

No. It is a wildly imprecise altimeter at best, and it would be a bad idea to use that technology to feed any kind of altimeter reading in SkyDemon.

But I'd appreciate a level alert of some sort. You could make it a relative one. For example, asked to descend from FL90 to FL70, I'd appreciate a heads up when I've got e.g. 500 and 200 feet to go, to avoid level busts. For that purpose, it's only relative level that's important. You could have a "descend n000 ft" selection to trigger it. It wouldn't really matter if it was geometric or barometric altitude for that purpose. You can estimate the level change to +/-10% quite easily.

The only useful alert you can generate with a phone barometer is one that says you might want to use oxygen.
